The Role
We have an exciting career opportunity for an Outside Sales Executive to join our growing DSI Tech team! As the Outside Sales Executive, primarily in the Charlotte, NC market segment, you will be a dynamic contributor to the Sales team for one of our newest sales territories.

The ideal candidates have an existing and robust account list to grow, primarily in the Charlotte, NC segment. We offer a full marketing package and need someone who has a polished "in person" presentation and sales skills. In addition, we are looking for someone who can work independently and manage their time efficiently in the field. Sales duties will be a combination of “hunting" for new prospects and “farming" existing accounts. This position is an addition to our current sales force for our North Carolina sales team. This position is remote.

Your Responsibilities   
  • Sell IT Infrastructure solutions from various vendors to primarily but not limited to State, Local and School of Education (SLED) establishments
  • Interface and drive sales with customers in the North Carolina area and areas within a 50-mile radius of Charlotte.
  • Defined Sales Territory is where the Sales Executive resides, current client list of the successful candidate and DSI’s sales territory mapping
  • Provide current and new clients product information, pricing, and conduct daily on-site visits
  • Focus on Federal E-rate opportunities as well as commercial sales. Partner with our Senior Network Engineers in the areas of (Security, R&S, Wireless, Collaboration, Data Center and Virtualization) for all pre-sales activities
  • Implement a strategic, solution-oriented approach to create interest in our unique value and build market position by identifying, developing, defining, negotiating, and establishing business relationships
What You Need for this Role
  • 3+ years in an outside sales capacity selling IT solutions for Cisco products or other vendors (NetApp, VMware, Microsoft, HPE, Crestron)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Economics OR equivalent years of experience
  • Should have a proven and solid SLED and commercial sales background
  • Must be willing to travel within the state of North Carolina (territory defined above)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Excellent time management, organization skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills are required, both written and oral
  • Strong Decision-making, problem resolution and creative thinking skills
  • Results driven and detail-oriented
  • Demonstrated credibility in customer and team interactions
